Ringkasan keputusan

Screen ATO when the program needs a formulation-led conductive coating that also manages visible appearance or NIR attenuation. Screen ITO when the architecture is a deposited transparent electrode, or when an ITO slurry route is explicitly being qualified. ITO may serve as the transparent electrode or current collector in an electrochromic device, but it is not the electrochromic active switching layer. The decision still depends on substrate, binder or deposition process, film thickness, contacts, visible transmission, haze, color, durability, and the required electrical range.

Use this matrix to compare a coating-compatible ATO route with a form-specific ITO route. Treat ITO powder, ceramic target, slurry, and deposited film as separate qualification records: powder or target data cannot prove the optical or electrical performance of a finished film.

TransparencyMeasure visible transmission, haze, and color on the finished ATO coating at intended loading and thickness.Measure the same outputs on the deposited ITO film; powder and target data are not film optics.Depends on the matched construction.

Kasus penggunaan umumIR-shielding and transparent conductive coating formulations.Displays, touch panels, and transparent electrodes; in an electrochromic stack, ITO is the transparent electrode or current collector, not the active switching layer.Depends on the required architecture.

Stabilitas

Compare environmental exposure, coating continuity, adhesion, and conductivity drift after aging rather than relying on powder properties alone. Request the same aging protocol for both candidates.

Kemampuan proses

For a coating formulation, screen dispersion stability, viscosity response, wet-film uniformity, cure compatibility, and defect sensitivity. For a deposited film, screen target sheet resistance, optical loss, deposition temperature, and substrate limits.

Posisi biaya

Do not assign a cost winner from powder price alone. Compare the functional loading, dispersion and coating yield of the ATO route with target or slurry preparation, deposition, patterning, yield, and rework for the selected ITO route.

Kasus penggunaan umum

ATO is commonly evaluated for IR-shielding coatings and transparent conductive formulations. ITO is commonly evaluated for displays, touch panels, and transparent electrode stacks. In an electrochromic stack, ITO can provide the transparent electrode while a separate active material provides the switching response.
